This case is taken up for settlement before the National Lok Adalat. Both the parties are present. M/s.Ramya Rao, learned counsel for appellants and Mr.J.Chandran, Mr.A.Balakrishnan and

After mutual discussion, negotiation, mediation and conciliation between both parties, they arrived at a compromise to settle the matter as follows: Mr.B.Rajasudhakar, learned counsels for the 2 TERMS OF SETTLEMENT The claimant is appellant. The MCOP has been filed claiming compensation for injuries suffered in a motor accident. The Tribunal has awarded a sum of Rs.3,76,500/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Seventy Six Thousand and Five Hundred Rupees only), together with interest at 7.5% interest per month.

2.Today, the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement of Rs.1,75,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Seventy Five Thousand only), as full quit over and above award by the Tribunal.

3. The 2 amount of Rs.1,75,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Seventy Five Thousand only) in full quit without interest, subject to not already within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this award.

4. On such deposit, the claimant/appellant is permitted to withdraw the enhanced award amount, along with the Tribunal award, without filing any formal petition, along with already deposited amount, if not

already withdrawn. Award is passed accordingly. 5.The Tribunal is directed to transfer the amount through RTGS/NEFT to the parties concerned on proper identification in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. The Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of accordingly. The connected miscellaneous petition is closed, if any.
