This petition has been filed seeking to extent the period of suspension of sentence passed in the conditional order dated 28.03.2023 imposed by this Court in Crl.MP.No.4234 of 2023 in Crl.A.No.310 of 2023.

2. On the earlier occasion, while granting suspension of sentence this Court vide order dated 28.03.2023, allowed the petition and granted interim suspension of sentence on the petitioner for a period of three months with a direction to the petitioner to pay 20% of fine amount i.e. Rs.12,60,000/- imposed on the petitioner. The petitioner has also complied with the said condition.

3. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to extend the time with the following conditions: ''1. The petitioner is directed to deposit the remaining fine amount of 80% within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order before the lower appellate Court to the credit of the case number.

2. It is made clear that if the petitioner fails to deposit the amount within the time period, the petition shall stand dismissed automatically without any further reference of this Court.'' 04.04.2024 rli
