Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation of the writ petitioner dated 20.09.2023 regarding the illegal proposal of the 2nd respondent dated 06.03.2023 to locate a retail outlet at 185/581 to 185/618.60, Keezhavanjore Village, Karaikal District.

O R D E R

The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the representation submitted by her on 03.10.2023 is yet to be disposed of by the 1st respondent.

2. The learned counsel for the 2nd respondent would submit that the writ petitioner's dealership was cancelled.

3. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation in this regard is to be considered by the 1st respondent.

4. Since the outlet is proposed to be on the National Highways Road without going in to the merit of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to look into the representation submitted by the writ petitioner on 20.09.2023 and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible. The petitioner is directed to send one more copy of the said representation along with this order to the 1st respondent.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
