The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 06.08.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 309(4), 311, 351(3) of BNS [equal to Sections 341, 294(b), 392, 397, 506(ii) of IPC] in Crime No.510 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the de facto complainant, who is running a petty shop, was on his way to the shop when the petitioner along with other accused waylaid him, abused him in filthy language, robbed a sum of Rs.500/- at knife point, and threatened him with dire consequences. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and has been falsely implicated in this case. The petitioner is ready and willing to abide by any conditions that may be imposed by this Court hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner. 2/5

4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner on the ground that the petitioner is involved in 14 previous cases.

5. Heard the learned counsels on either side and perused the materials available on record.

6. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
