O R D E R

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondent for willfully and 1/5

deliberately violating the order in W.P.No.17016 of 2012 dated 18.10.2022. 2.The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submits that in pursuance of the order passed by this Court on 18.10.2022, the respondent herein issued G.O.(D).No.40, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection (CD2) Department dated 21.02.2024 fixing the pension of Late K.V.Perumal, Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies at Rs.1455/- with effect from 21.09.1991. In pursuance of the above said G.O.(D).No.40, dated 21.02.

2024, the pension proposal was sent to the Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Kilpauk, Chennai - 600 010 and thereafter a communication was sent by the Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer, Office of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cooperative Department to the Accountant General (A&E), Pension 27 Section, Anna Salai, Chennai - 18 for admission of revised pensionary benefits ordered by the Government vide G.O.(D).No.40, Cooperation, Food and Consumer Protection (CD2) Department dated 21.02.2024. It is seen that the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Tamil Nadu, Chennai has approved the pension at Rs.1455/- with effect from 22.09.1991. The learned Additional Advocate General further submits that the said amount has to be disbursed from the office of the Accountant General (A&E), Chennai.

3.In view of the above said submissions, the Contempt Petition stands closed.
