ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case in C.C.No.175 of 2013 was taken on the file of the District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Neyveli Taluk, Cuddalore, for the alleged offence under Section 379 of I.P.C. The occurrence is said to have taken place on 10.02.2012. The accused committed theft of de-facto complainant's bike. It is reported that the property involved in this case has been recovered and handed over to the de-facto complainant. The de-facto complainant has no objection for closing the case. 3.Considering the nature of the allegation, the antecedents of the accused and since the accused has been facing the case since 2020, any further continuation of the trial would impinge upon his right to a speedy trial of the accused and no useful purpose would be served. 4.Accordingly, the case in C.C.No.175 of 2013 of District Munsif Cum Judicial Magistrate Court, Neyveli Taluk, Cuddalore, stands quashed. This Suo Motu Transfer Case is disposed of.

The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary.
