ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 118(1), 351(2) and 109 of BNS Act and read with section 4 of TNPHW Act in Crime No.221 of 2025, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The allegation against the petitioner is that due to a land dispute, the petitioner attacked the de facto complainant with a wooden log and an iron rod, causing severe injuries.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case and did not attack the de facto complainant. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that A1 and A3 have been arrested and are still in custody. He further submitted that there are 5 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner. Hence, he opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Considering the nature of offence committed by the petitioner, and taking note of the fact that there are 5 previous cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6.
