ORDER

Mr.R.U. Dinesh Rajkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for respondents.

By consent of both the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The relief sought in this writ petition is a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 08.09.2025.

3. The petitioner was initially appointed as Field Surveyor and was subsequently promoted to the post of Measurement Field Surveyor. While so, pursuant to a complaint, the petitioner was caught red-handed for demanding an illegal gratification of Rs.5,000/- for transfer of patta. Later, he was arrested by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption. Consequent to the arrest, he was placed under suspension by the 1st respondent on 22.02.2024. A case was registered against the petitioner under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act in Crime No.2 of 2024.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, 2/5

if this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2024 in the light of G.O.Ms.No.81, Human Resources Management (N) Department dated 04.08.2022 and pass appropriate orders within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents did not raise any serious objection for the limited request now made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

Considering the fair submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 26.02.2024, in the light of G.O. Ms. No.81, Human Resources Management(N) Department, dated 04.08.2022 with regard to his claim for revocation of suspension / reinstatement into service, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs. 3/5
