ORDER
(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.M.Gnanasekar, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.A.Edwin Prabakar, learned State Government Pleader assisted by Mr.T.K.Saravanan, learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 to 3 and 5 and Mr.A.Anandan, learned Government Advocate for respondent 4.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the official respondents may be directed to lay a road at Karuvambakkam Village crematorium situated at S.No.35/12. The petitioners have given a representation on 26.09.2023 to that effect.
3. In case the petitioners have given a representation on 26.09.2023 and the same is pending with respondent 1, if respondent 1 is competent to decide the same, then the said representation shall be decided in accordance with law and policy preferably within a period of six months.
4. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs. W.M.P.No.11230 of 2024, petition filed to permit the petitioners to file a single writ petition stands allowed inasmuch as the petitioners have paid separate set of court fees. (S.V.G., CJ.)
