(Order of the Court was made by P.Velmurugan J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing on 12.02.2026, it was brought to the notice of this Court that the private notice issued to the first respondent had been returned with an endorsement "first respondent died". In view of the same, this Court directed the matter to be listed during the third week of March, 2026, for taking necessary steps to substitute the legal representatives of the deceased first respondent.

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is seen that no steps have been taken by the petitioners till date to substitute the legal representatives of the deceased first respondent, despite sufficient opportunity having been granted. It is also pertinent to note that more than 45 days have elapsed from the date of such direction.

3. In view of the failure on the part of the petitioners to take necessary steps within the statutory period of limitation, the writ petition stands dismissed as abated. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
