Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to change the initial from A.Vinodhini to S.Vinodhini in SSLC Certificate bearing Certificate No.22802604 issued on May 2022, Higher Secondary Course - First Year Marksheet bearing Certificate SL No.HSS 34677057 issued on March 2024

and Higher Secondary Course - Second Year Marksheet bearing Certificate SL No.HSS 35677068 issued on March 2024 based on adoption order passed by the learned District Magistrate, Villupuram District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2024 and consequently direct the respondents to issue fresh certificates to the petitioner within a time framed by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to change the petitioner's initial from A.Vinodhini to S.Vinodhini in SSLC Certificate bearing Certificate No.22802604 issued on May 2022, Higher Secondary Course - First Year Marksheet bearing Certificate SL No.HSS 34677057 issued on March 2024 and Higher Secondary Course - Second Year Marksheet bearing Certificate SL No.HSS 35677068 issued on March 2024 based on adoption order passed by the learned District Magistrate, Villupuram District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 03.12.2024 and consequently to direct the respondents to issue fresh certificates to the petitioner within a time framed by this Court.

2. Heard both sides. With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed at the admission stage itself.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the Chief Educational Officer, School Education, Chennai is the competent authority to consider the claim of the petition.

4. This Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the present petition, directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation before the Chief Educational Officer, School Education, Chennai within a period of two weeks from today and on receipt of such representation, the competent authority is directed to pass a speaking order in accordance with law, within a period of one month therefrom.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
