ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 28.07.2025, wherein the petitioner is seeking for assignment of land in his favour, after collecting the necessary land value. 2, Heard Mr.J.Titus Enock, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.

3. In the considered view of this Court, assignment of lands cannot be claimed as a matter of right. It is the discretionary power available to the authorities in line with the Revenue Standing Orders. Therefore, it is left open to the petitioner to work out his remedy before the respondents. Except giving this clarity, no further orders can be passed in this writ petition. 2/4
