O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the first respondent and quash the order dated 20.09.2003 terminating the services of the petitioner.

2. Heard Mr.V.Ravichandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.N.Selvaraj, learned Additional Government Pleader (Co.op) appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner was employed as a Packer in the first respondent-Society. The first respondent passed an order terminating the service of the petitioner on the ground that the appointment itself is illegal. Against which, the present Writ Petition is filed.

4. It is well settled that a writ petition is not maintainable as against the Special Officer as per the decision of the Larger Bench of this Court reported in (2006) 4 CTC 689 (K.Marappan Vs. Deputy Registrar of Co-operative Societies).

5. In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
