Respondent Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2023 in line with the "New Special OTS/OCS Scheme-2023" dated 19.05.2023 of the respondent bank within a time frame fixed by this Court. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.Sharath Chandran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.Ananda Gomathy, learned counsel for the respondent.

2. The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the respondent be directed to extend the benefit of the new Special OTS/OCS Scheme-2023, a non-discretionary and non-discriminatory (NDND) scheme, to the petitioner.

3. There are various conditions to be considered by the bank before accepting the OTS scheme even under the NDND scheme. The petitioner could make an application to the bank and it is for the bank to consider the same as may be permissible and if applicable under the new OTS/OCS scheme, 2023.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
