PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st and the 2nd respondents herein to give police protection to fence the property comprised in S.No.32/1 bearing patta No.1782 measuring an extent of 0 acre 79 cents at Renganathapuram Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 16.12.2023 and 22.12.2023.

ORDER

This is a petition filed by the petitioner seeking to direct respondents 1 and 2 to give police protection to fence the property comprised in S.No.32/1 bearing patta No.1782 measuring an extent of 0 acre 79 cents at Renganathapuram Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 16.12.2023 and 22.12.2023.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 and 2 and the learned counsel appearing for the third respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that if a copy of the representation dated 22.12.2023 is made to the second respondent, the same will be enquired and a decision will be taken with regard to providing police protection.

4. Considering the said submission made by learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), there shall be a direction to the petitioner to give 2/4

a copy of the representation dated 22.12.2023 to the second respondent. The second respondent, on receipt of the same, shall conduct an enquiry by issuing notice to all the interested parties and shall take a decision within a period of four weeks.

5. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
