ORDER

Apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.455 of 2024, registered on the file of the second respondent for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c), 20, 21, 25, 29 of NDPS Act, the present petition has been filed seeking interstate/transit anticipatory bail.

2.Pleading innocence on the part of the petitioner, false implication in the case, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this court. He would submit that he is no way connected with this case and he is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. 3.The case of the prosecution as putforth by Mr.K.Ramanamoorthy, learned Advocate & Central Government Counsel appearing for the second respondent police, opposing for grant of anticipatory bail, is that the petitioner along with other accused was involved in illicit trade of 1289 Kgs of cocaine. The petitioner is a member of international drug cartel and he would object to grant of interstate/transit anticipatory bail. He would submit that the petitioner is well aware of his role in the transaction and he is not an innocent person requiring transit anticipatory bail.

4.Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate for the first respondent and the learned counsel for the second respondent Police and perused the materials available on record. 5.Taking into consideration the above facts and circumstances of the case and the submission made by the learned counsel for the second respondent police, this Court is not inclined to grant interstate/transit anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
