ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 316(2), 318(4), 296(b) 1/4

and 351(2) of BNS 2023 in Crime No.386 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner has misrepresented to the defacto complainant and obtained a sale deed registered in his name; and that he cheated the defacto complainant of the sale consideration for the said property.

3. This Court had earlier referred the parties to mediation and the mediation failed. It is now reported by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) that the petitioner is involved in another case and is presently in custody in the said case in Cr.No.54 of 2025, on the file of the respondent police.

4. Taking into consideration the aforesaid allegations and the bad antecedents of the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not entitled to the relief of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
