This Criminal Original Petition has been filed for transfer of case in SC No.138 of 2013 on the file of the III Additional Sessions Court at Salem to any of the Sessions Court at Ariyalur. 1/3

It is brought to the notice of this Court that there are eighteen accused persons in this case and A11 has approached this Court seeking for transfer.

The learned Government Advocate submitted that there are totally 75 witnesses in this case and out of the same, except the Investigation officer, all the other witnesses have been examined. That apart, PW7 has been recalled and his examination is pending. 4.

In the considered view of this Court, there is no question of transfer based on the request made by one of the accused person. This Court finds that this is only a ploy to drag on the proceedings and this Court does not find any merits in this petition and the same is dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 14.03.2024 rka 2/3
