This Writ Petition (Criminal) has been filed to direct the first respondent/District Social Welfare Officer-cum-Dowry Prohibition Officer, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.09.2025 and to take suitable action against the private respondents herein who are her husband and in-laws respectively, in accordance with law.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she has given a complaint to the first respondent/District Social Welfare Officer-cum-Dowry Prohibition Officer, against her husband and in-laws, however no action has been taken and hence, the present petition is filed seeking direction to the first respondent.

3. Heard and perused the materials available on record.

4. The petitioner seeks direction to the first respondent to register a case against her husband and in-laws. This Court is of the view that as a matter of right, such a direction cannot be granted. If at all the petitioner's complaint is not handled properly, the proper course is, to file a private complaint before the Magistrate. This Court is not inclined to entertain this petition.
