ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents herein to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2025 and to issue passport to her.

2. Mr.S.Nelson, learned Central Government Standing Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.S.Balaji, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), accepts notice on behalf of the 2nd respondent. With the consent of the learned counsel for the parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that on 16.05.2025, she applied through online for issuance of passport vide application reference No.2510151809467 and File No.MA2065091561725. Even after submitted all the necessary documents as directed by the 1st respondent, the petitioner's passport application was not processed. Therefore, she made a representation dated 10.08.2025 before the 1st respondent. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition before this Court for appropriate directions.

Though very many grounds have been raised in this writ petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, it this Court issues a direction to the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2025, within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 10.08.2025 for issuance of passport to the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with Passport Act and Rules, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
