ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to correct the error in the FMB sketch by considering his representation dated 06.08.2024.

It is the case of the petitioner that he is the owner of the lands measuring an extent of 0.22 cents in Survey No.270/1 and 0.19 cents in S.No.269/8, Injambakkam Village, Sholinganallur Taluk, Chengalpattu District, having purchased the same under a registered sale deed dated 03.10.1986. The 1st respondent has also issued a patta No.459 dated 08.07.2024 with reference to the above extent. The petitioner was issued with a manual patta and sketch which showed the exact measurements as set out above. Thereafter on 24.09.2024, the petitioner had applied for FMB sketch for his property wherein he was shocked to learn that the 19 cents in Survey No.269/8 has been sub-divided and therefore, the extent falling to 2/5
the petitioner's share has been reduced without notice to the petitioner. 3.
The petitioner would submit that he had immediately sent a representation dated 06.08.2024 to correct the defects. However, the said defects are yet to be rectified and therefore, the writ petition. 4.
Heard Mr.D.Saikumaran, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.R.Gokul Krishnan, learned Additional Government Pleader for respondents 1 and 2.

Considering the limited request and taking in to account the fact that the representation which has been given on 06.08.2024 has not been considered till date and also taking into consideration the fact that the earlier manual patta and sketch that has been issued in favour of the petitioner, showing the correct measurements a mandamus is issued directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on the representation within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 3/5
