This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent-Police to transfer the investigation in Crime No.428 of 2024 dated 25.08.2024 pending before the second respondent-Police to any other competent authority.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondentsPolice and perused the materials available on record.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's son's death was caused only due to mental stress made by her daughterin-law. Hence, the petitioner made a complaint with regard to her son's suspicious death before the second respondent-Police and a case was registered in Crime No.428 of 2024. Though F.I.R was registered in the month of August 2024, neither charge sheet has been filed nor the defacto complainant was examined. Since there is no progress in the investigation for the past five months, the petitioner has filed this
criminal original petition.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents-Police submitted that based on the petitioner's complaint, F.I.R has been registered. The defacto complainant was summoned and statement has been recorded from her. Further witnesses have also been examined. The respondent-Police is collecting materials regarding telephonic conversation and E-mail communication at the relevant point of time. The investigation is under progress and the respondent Police will complete the investigation as early as possible.

In view of the above facts and circumstances and the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court does not find any reason to transfer the investigation from the respondent-Police. However, the second respondent-Police is directed to complete the investigation and file the charge sheet within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the abovesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
