ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to prevent the illegal burial of dead bodies in the Government Stream (river porambokku) land comprised in Survey No.211, 212A, adjacent to the petitioner's land comprised in Survey No.21/5, situated at Pallikuppam Village, Katpadi Taluk, Vellore District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation submitted by the petitioner, after issuing notice to the concerned parties and giving an opportunity of hearing, and dispose of the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
