Respondent Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, call for the records pertaining to the impugned order bearing Na.Ka.Aa1 No.1256/ 2025 dated 20.06.2025 issued by Respondent Tahsildar, Velachery Taluk, Chennai and quash the same and consequently direct the respondent to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property comprised in New Survey No.13/168 and old Survey No.57/1 part in Urur village, Adayar, Chennai, based on the registered sale deed Docoument No.429/1974, SRO Saidapet dated 19.08.1974, and the valid encumbrance certificate dated 03.06.2025 reflecting the said sale deed. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order dated 20.06.2025 passed by the respondent, thereby rejected the application seeking patta.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen from the records that the petitioner submitted an application seeking patta for the property comprised in TS No.13, Block No.21, situated at Urur Village, Velacherry Taluk, Chennai. The said application was rejected on the ground that the petitioner failed to annexe the death certificate, legal heirship certificate and power of attorney documents, while seeking the patta.

4. In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to submit a fresh application with all the requisite documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such application, the respondent is directed to consider the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.
