The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.08.2025, for the offence punishable under Sections 132, 278 of BNS read with Section 77 of Juvenile Justice Act in Crime No.317 of 2025, registered on the file of the respondent, seeks bail. 1/4
2. The allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 2050 Nos of Tapentadol tablets. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that they were involved in selling the contraband to the school and college students and to the drug addict persons. Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of bail to the petitioner.
5. Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.
6. Considering the gravity of the offence committed by the petitioner, wherein petitioners selling the Tapentaol tablets to the drug addicts and school children, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the 2/4
petitioner.
