Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to impugned order of passed by the respondent in Refusal check Slip RFL/Joint-I- Sub Registrar South Chennai/42/2024 dated 26.11.2024, thereby refusing to register the document and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction and further direct the respondent to register the sale deed dated 26.11.2024 presented by petitioner, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

This Writ Petition is filed to quash the impugned Refusal Check Slip No.RFL/Joint-I-Sub Registrar South Chennai/42/2024 dated 26.11.2024 and consequently direct the respondent to register the sale deed dated 26.11.2024 without insisting on the original parent deed.

2. A Refusal Check Slip has been issued directing the petitioner to produce the original parent document.

3. In the light of the Judgement passed by this Court in Ramayee - Vs - The Sub Registrar and others - (2020 (6) CTC 697), the impugned order cannot be sustained and it is liable to be quashed.

4. Accordingly, the impugned Refusal Check Slip No.RFL/Joint-I-Sub Registrar South Chennai/42/2024 dated 26.11.2024 is hereby quashed. The respondent is directed to register the sale deed dated 26.11.2024, within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands allowed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
