This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner's life and limb from the life threat given by one Dhanabal, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 25.11.2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3. Considering the fact that there is a civil dispute involved between the parties, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as sought for by the petitioner.

4. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy before the competent civil court.
