ORDER

The petitioner has filed the present petition praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide Police protection to the petitioner so as to enable the petitioner to perform his religious duties without any fear or hindrance from others as Sarguru of Syed Rifayee Aithroos Jamma Allah for a period of 40 days on the eve of the Urus and annual death ceremony of Hazrath Shahul Hameed Aandavar (Kanthuri Festival) in Nagore Dargah and take necessary action based on the petitioner's complaint, dated 04.12.2024.

2. There is no representation for the third respondent, either in person or through any counsel.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for respondents 1 and 2 submitted that the said festival is over and the Police protection given earlier for conducting the festival, was withdrawn.

4. Recording the above submission, since the festival itself is over, this Writ Petition has become infructuous and hence, the same is dismissed as having become infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs. 21.01.2025 cs To
