Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to measure the petitioner's land in Survey No.102/1 of Chikkagajanur, Thalavadi Taluk, Erode District with the aid of Police Officials and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to sub-divide the patta by considering the petitioner's on-line application dated 11.03.2025 vide Application No.2025/0105/10/359230 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

For Petitioner : Mr.J.Titus Enock For Respondents 1 & 2 : Mr.P.Ganesan Government Advocate For Respondent-3 : Mr.L.Baskaran Government Advocate Order Heard Mr.J.Titus Enock, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Ganesan, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice on behalf of respondents 1 and 2 and Mr.L.Baskaran, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for respondent No.3. With consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for the following relief:- i) For issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to measure the petitioner's land (morefully, described in the prayer portion of this order with the aid of Police Officials and consequently, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to sub-divide the patta by considering the 2/6

petitioner's on-line application dated 11.03.2025 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the subject property and is in possession and enjoyment of the property; that the petitioner made an application through on-line to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking for sub-division of the patta transfer and also paid required charges, however, as on date, no action has been taken by the respondents with regard to such Application, which necessitated the petitioner to approach this Court by way of present Writ Petition seeking for aforesaid relief.

4. Learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2 fairly submitted that the application made by the petitioner would be considered and appropriate steps would be taken by the respondent-Authorities within the time as stipulated by this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate for third respondent would submit that the respondent-Police would render all possible assistance, enabling the revenue officials to sub-divide the petitioner's property.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer, sought for in this Writ Petition and in view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate for respondents 1 and 2 and 3 respectively, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents Nos. 1 and 2 to consider the petitioner's on-line application dated 11.03.2025 and take suitable steps for sub-division of patta transfer within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
