The petitioner herein, who was initially appointed as 'Typist', was
subsequently promoted to the post of 'Assistant' and thereafter, he was posted to Kaveripattinam, Krishnagiri District by an order dated 17.10.2024.
2. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, all other similarly situated persons were afforded an opportunity of participating in the counselling and choosing a place of posting and were posted at their place of choice, whereas, the case of the petitioner was not considered and he was not afforded any such opportunity of participating in the counselling. According to learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is now working in the Kaveripattinam, Krishnagiri District, as on date, for want of appropriate communication to take charge and submitted a representation dated 24.10.2024, requesting to post him at the Vellore Medical College Hospital or the Government Hospital, Arcot, on the ground that there are existing vacancies on both the said hospitals. However, the said representation dated 24.10.2024 is stated to be still pending.
3. In view of the same, though the petitioner sought for a larger relief, this court is not inclined to go into the merits of the case, as the representation dated 24.10.2024 submitted by the petitioner is still pending
for consideration before the respondents.
4. Mr.M.Bindran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents also fairly submitted that the writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the said representation dated 24.10.2024 submitted by the petitioner.
5. In view of the same, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondent No.1 to consider the representation dated 24.10.2024 submitted by the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
