Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2024 seeking revocation of suspension order, suspending the petitioner's license dated 31.10.2020 in Form LE1 issued under Rule 155 of the Explosive Rules 1983, by proceedings of the second respondent in K.Dis.1873/ 2020/ C.3.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 25.11.2024 seeking revocation of suspension order passed by the second respondent, suspending the petitioner's crackers manufacturing license dated 31.10.2020.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he was issued with license for manufacturing the crackers bearing license No.01/2000-2001-Le-1 and it was granted for a period from 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2025. Latter, pointing out certain defects and non compliance, the first respondent suspended the license of the petitioner on 30.10.2023. The Revenue Divisional Officer also sealed the premises on the ground that the petitioner was indulging in manufacturing crackers, after suspension of license. After curing the defects pointed out by the authorities, the petitioner submitted a representation seeking revocation of the suspension order and the same has not been considered. Hence the petitioner has come before this court.

3. Mr.S.Balamurugan, learned Government Advocate takes

notice for the respondents 1 and 2.

4. In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner seeking consideration of his representation, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2024 and to pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after giving reasonable opportunity to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
