PETITION under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 praying to punish the respondent under the Contempt of Court Act for deliberately disobeying the order dated 29.08.2024 passed by this Court in WP No.34630 of 2023.

ORDER

This Contempt petition has been filed against the respondent for wilful disobedience of the order of this Court in WP No.34630 of 2023 dated 29.08.2024.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Advocate General produced the proceedings dated 14.02.2024. On going through the same, it is seen that the petitioner has been informed that his request cannot be entertained and he is not eligible. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that such a decision taken by the respondent runs against the very notification issued by the respondent.

This Court cannot deal with the matter on merits in this contempt petition and hence, liberty is granted to the petitioner to challenge the proceedings, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the same. 2/4
