ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to forthwith consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2024 for revision of various fees.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner Association has been formed to serve the common interest of its members. Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 2021 has been enacted setting apart 7.5% of seats in the admission of UG professional course on preferential basis to the students studies in State Government Schools and G.O.Ms. No.221of Higher Education (J2) Department dated 15.11.2021 has been issued prescribing capping of the fees to be collected by the colleges under the heads tuition fees, Hostel fees, Transportation fees, etc. Since the capping of fees prescribed in G.O. Ms. No.221 is not sufficient, the petitioner Association submitted a representation dated 22.11.2024 to the first respondent. Since no action has been taken on the representation, this writ petition is filed.

Considering the limited scope of the relief sought in this Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the contesting respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2024 in accordance with law by passing a speaking order preferably within a period of one month from the date of production of a certified copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
