praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 25.04.2025 and 14.06.2025 and to measure the lands in S.Nos.397/2, 397/3 and 397/4, situated at No.21, Deventavakkam Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District, with the help of the surveyor and put up the boundary stones with necessary police protection in accordance with law within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 25.04.2025 and 14.06.2025 and to measure the lands in S.Nos.397/2, 397/3 and 397/4, situated at No.21, Deventavakkam Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District, with the help of the surveyor and to put up boundary stones with necessary police protection in accordance with law within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioners owns the lands in S.Nos.397/2, 397/3 and 397/4, situated at No.21, Deventavakkam Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District. In order to survey the said lands, the petitioners submitted representations and also paid requisite fees for the same. So far the respondents did not take any steps to survey and demarcate the lands belong to the petitioners. Hence, this writ petition.

In view of the above, the fifth respondent is directed to survey the petitioners' aforesaid lands based on the title deed produced by them, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any, and to serve the survey report to the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police 3/6

seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
