Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to rectify the seniority anomaly in the State wise seniority list based on TNPSC merit, in terms of the proposals sent by the Joint Commissioner, Salem, the 2nd respondent herein (dated 20.11.2019) by revising the seniority list correctly placing the petitioner above her juniors to secure her rightful seniority and publish the State-wise seniority list at the earliest before granting the promotion of Commercial tax officer within a reasonable time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court based on the petitioner's 1/4

This Writ Petition is filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to rectify the seniority anomaly in the State wise seniority list based on TNPSC merit, in terms of the proposals sent by the Joint Commissioner, Salem, the 2nd respondent herein (dated 20.11.2019) by revising the seniority list correctly placing the petitioner above her juniors to secure her rightful seniority and publish the State-wise seniority list at the earliest before granting the promotion of Commercial Tax Officer within a reasonable time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court based on the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation given by the petitioner will be considered positively and disposed of within a period of 2 weeks. 2/4

3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
