PRAYER : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioners' application dated 07.02.2020 and provide finance assistance/incentive under Dr.Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriages within the time frame fixed by this Court. O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioners' application dated 07.02.2020 and provide financial assistance/incentive under Dr.Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration through Inter-Caste Marriage, within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. The case of the petitioner is that the first petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste community and the second petitioner belongs to Backward Community and therefore, the application was made on 07.02.2020 before the third respondent under Dr.Ambedkar Scheme for Social Integration

through inter-caste marriage, within one year from the date of the marriage, however, the same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the first respondent is directed to dispose of the application of the petitioners, dated 07.02.2020 on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.

4. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned counsel appearing for the first respondent and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent Nos.2 to 4.

5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the first respondent to consider the application of the petitioners, dated 07.02.2020 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with

law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
