The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 28.08.2025, for the offences punishable under Sections 126(2), 296(b), 115(2), 309, 311, 351(3) of BNS, in Crime No.717 of 2025, on the file of the respondent Police, seeks bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that on 27.08.2025 at about 11.00 p.m., when the de facto complainant was coming near Kumanachavadi junction in his two wheeler, the petitioner waylaid him and demanded money. When he refused, he assaulted him with hands and robbed Rs.3,000/- at knife point and escaped. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in this case . He further submitted that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions that may be imposed by this Court. Hence, he prayed for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. Learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police reiterated the prosecution case and submitted that the petitioner has 25 previous cases. Hence, he strongly opposed the grant of bail.

6. Considering the gravity of the offences and bad antecedents, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
