The writ petition has been filed in the nature of a Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondents to pass orders on the application filed by the petitioner on 23.07.2024, seeking permission/certificate of vending to run a Bunk Shop near Kalaingar Park, Demellows Road, Baracka Road Junction, Pattalam, Chennai 600 012. The petitioner is selling tea, coffee and food items in the said bunk shop.

2.The 2nd respondent may conduct an inspection of the bunk shop of the petitioner. The petitioner must apply to the Town Vending Committee on or before 20.12.2024, seeking permission. The copy of the said application must be furnished to the 2nd respondent on or before 27.12.2024. If the petitioner had not applied and had not furnished the copy of the application, then the 2nd respondent is at liberty to proceed 2 / 4

further against the petitioner. But if the petitioner had actually applied then the decision of the Town Vending Committee may be awaited and the 2nd respondent may take a decision in accordance with the decision of the said Committee.
