Respondent(s) PRAYER; This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents herein to take appropriate legal action on the representations of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025 and 12.09.2025 respectively alleging the irregularities in issuance of explosive licence to.S.F. No.692/5B Situated at Kaveripuram Revenue Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to take appropriate legal action on the representations of the petitioner dated 23.07.2025 and 12.09.2025 respectively alleging the irregularities in issuance of explosive licence to.S.F. No.692/5B Situated at Kaveripuram Revenue Village, Mettur Taluk, Salem District.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner is an agriculturist and he is an adjacent land owner of one Sri Sai explosives. The said Sri Sai Explosives have obtained a license for an explosives godown from the Government by submitting the false particulars. The petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 23.07.2025 for cancelling the license which was issued in favour of the Sri Said Explosives Ltd., The first respondent issued show cause notice to the Sri Said Explosives Ltd., and so far, no action has been taken. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court may direct the respondent to conclude the proceedings within the time stipulated by this Court.

4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to conclude the proceedings which was pending against the said Sri Said Explosives Ltd., after providing opportunity to the petitioner as well as the said Sri Said Explosives Ltd., within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Further, the first respondent is directed to find out whether the godown is situated beyond the prohibited distance or not.

6. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
