ORDER

Heard Mr.P.L.Narayanan, learned Senior Counsel for the applicants and Mr.S.Minna Jaasir Ahamed for Mr.Rajnish Pathiyil, learned counsel for the respondent.

2. Learned Senior Counsel Mr.P.L.Narayanan would bring to the notice of this Court the order of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in SLP (C) No.2296 of 2024 dated 14.10.2024, in and by which, the respondent before the Hon'ble Supreme Court, viz., the husband of the applicant herein was directed to repay Rs.50,00,000/-(Rupees Fifty Lakhs only) together with interest at 20% p.a from the date of payment made by the petitioner to the respondent herein. The Hon'ble Supreme Court has increased the interest component from 12% to 20% and the present application A.No.6559 of 2024 is necessitated only in view of the order passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court.

3. Learned counsel for the respondent has fairly admitted to the said position.

4. In view of the above, the application is ordered and the decree shall be amended incorporating the rate of interest as 20%, wherever applicable, as prayed for.
