Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.08.2025 having reference No. 2025 / 0105 / 35 / 555862 for sub-division and issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner, in respect of the land admeasuring an extent of 46 cents out of the entire extent of 1 Acre 44 cents comprised in Survey no 1/46 situated in Kunnathur Village, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalattu District within a time frame to be stipulated by this Honble Court.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents 1 and 2 herein to consider the petitioner's application dated 21.08.2025 having reference No. 2025 / 0105 / 35 / 555862 for sub-division and issuance of separate patta in the name of the petitioner, in respect of the land admeasuring an extent of 46 cents out of the entire extent of 1 Acre 44 cents comprised in Survey no 1/46 situated in Kunnathur Village, Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Chengalattu District within a time frame to be stipulated by this Honble Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 21.08.2025, seeking sub-division and issuance of a separate patta in respect of the subject property, and after conducting an enquiry by issuing notice to the petitioner and the counter parties, if any, and affording them a 2/4

personal opportunity of hearing, to pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
