ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents, particularly the 2nd Respondent to effect the petitioner proper promotional avenue right from 2020-2021 and subsequent periods on the basis of the petitioner representation dated 27.11.2024.

2. According to the petitioner, he joined as a Road Inspector under the respondent Department on 10.12.2009 and he was promoted as Grade I Road Inspector on 15.06.2015. Thereafter, he has not been considered for further

promotions, though he has required qualifications. However, his juniors were given subsequent promotion. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 27.11.2024 to the respondents, but the same has not yet been considered. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not been considered for promotional avenue from 2020-2021 and subsequent periods, hence, he made a representation dated 27.11.2024. He would further submit that it would suffice if a direction is issued to the respondents to consider the said representation of the petitioner.

4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be duly considered by the authorities concerned and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

5. Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for both sides, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 27.11.2024 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 29-01-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order PVS
