PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 22.11.2024 and consequently direct the Respondents to pass an order allocating/assigning a day to the members of the Devendrakula Vellalar Community to perform the Ubayam in any one of the days out of the total 15 days of the Festival in the Tamil Month of Chitirai in the Arutkottam Arulmigu Murugan Thirukovil. By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 22.11.2024 and pass final orders on merits.

It is the case of the petitioner that Arutkottam Arulmigu Murugan Thirukovil, situated in Nethaji Nagar, Tondiarpet, Chennai - 600 081, was originally founded by one Sadhasivam belonged to Devendrakula Vellalar Community. It is stated that the 'Chitra Pournami Thiruvizha' has been celebrated in the said temple for 16 days. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 22.11.2024 before the respondents expressing his willingness to perform the Ubayam (financial support) for one day festival out of 16 days for Chitra Pournami function. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.

Mr.K.Karthikeyan, learned Government Advocate (HR and CE), who is taking notice for the respondents, would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 22.11.2024 will be considered by the 4th respondent on its own merits and in accordance with law, within the time fixed by this Court.
5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the 4th respondent to 3/6
consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.11.2024 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
