ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner dated 25.03.2025 and 28.08.2025 seeking promotion to the post of Senior Entomologist.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. It is seen that the petitioner was not considered for promotion to the post of Senior Entomologist, while other eligible persons were considered for the said post. Accordingly, R.Joshua and B.Suriya, being the senior most Entomologists, were promoted to the post of Senior Entomologists in the Greater Chennai Corporation, against existing vacancies.

4. In view of the above, the representation submitted by the 2/4

petitioner seeking promotion to the post of Senior Entomologist cannot be considered, since the said post has already been filled by other eligible persons. Hence, this writ petition is devoid of merits and is liable to be dismissed.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
