ORDER
The writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 22.11.2024, challenging the order passed by the second respondent, rejecting the request of the petitioner to issue Legal Heirs Certificate, on the death of her father Ranganathan.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that her father Ranganathan died on 05.11.2023 and she applied for Legal Heirs Certificate through online on 25.10.2024. The application filed by the petitioner was rejected by the second respondent and aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent on 22.11.2024 and the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. Mr.R.Neelakandan, learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mr.S.Balamurugan, Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the appeal filed by the petitioner will be disposed of within a time stipulated by this court.
4. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the
claim made by the petitioner, this court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 22.11.2024 and pass final orders, on its own merits, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
