Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, direct the respondents 2 and 3 to act on the petitioners' applications vide Application No.2025/0123/07/009730, Application No.2025/N123/07/007662 and Application No.2025/0123/07/009729 dated 17.08.2025 seeking to survey and fix boundaries with respect to the petitioners land comprised in Sy.No.165 168/9B situated in Sorappur Village and in Survey No.414/8A and 132/2 situated in Rampakkam Village, respectively in Villupuram Taluk and District.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents 2 and 3 to act on the petitioners' applications vide Application No.2025/0123/07/009730, Application No.2025/N123/07/007662 and Application No.2025/0123/07/009729 dated 17.08.2025 seeking to survey and fix boundaries with respect to the petitioners land comprised in Sy.No.165, 168/9B situated in Sorappur Village and in Survey No.414/8A and 132/2 situated in Rampakkam Village, respectively in Villupuram Taluk and District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

The case of the petitioners is that they are the owners of the land comprised in Survey.Nos.165 and 168/9B situated in Sorappur Village and the lands comprised in Survey Nos.414/8A and 132/2 situated in Rampakkam Village, Villupuram Taluk and District In order to survey the said lands, they submitted applications before the respondents. However, 2/5

the respondents did not take any steps to survey the aforesaid lands so far.

In view of the above, the 2nd respondent is directed to survey the petitioners' aforesaid land based on the title deed produced by the petitioners, after issuance of notice to the adjacent land owners and counter parties, if any, and to serve the survey report to the petitioners within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that, if the surveyor concerned is obstructed by third parties while surveying the subject land, the said surveyor can approach the jurisdictional police seeking police aid and on such request, the jurisdictional police shall provide adequate police protection to the surveyor.

5. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
