ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to disburse 6% interest for the belated payment of Provident Fund, Gratuity and Earned Leave Surrender amount and also to direct the respondents to settle the unsettled benefits of Surrender Leave salary and last 7 days salary, within a time frame as fixed by this Court.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that he joined the services of the respondent Corporation and had retired from service on 28.02.2018. However, the Provident Fund, Gratuity and Earned Leave Surrender amount have been settled only on 03.11.2018. Therefore, the petitioner claimed 6% interest on the belated settlement of retirement benefits. The surrender leave
salary and last 7 days salary were also not paid to the petitioner and also that he is entitled the difference in terminal benefits under the revised wage settlement and hence, he made several representations in this regard, one among them has been made on 15.09.2025, which evoked no response. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. Heard the learned counsels appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.

In view of the limited request made by the petitioner with regard to interest on the belated settlement of retirement benefits, this Court directs the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 6% p.a. for the belated payment of retirement benefits as stated supra from the date of retirement till the date of actual disbursal of the retirement benefits of the petitioner and also to consider the issue in regard to disbursement of the unsettled benefits of Surrender Leave salary and last 7 days salary as stated supra and also with regard to the difference in terminal benefits under revised wage settlement, if there is no other impediment in disbursing the same, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, taking into account the bank rate of interest on deposits.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
