ORDER

This Suo Motu Case is dealt with in an extraordinary manner by the Dedicated Bench, pursuant to Suo Motu.W.P.(Crl.) No.618 of 2025. 2.The case was registered in WLOR.No.3 of 2016 dated 13.11.2016 for the alleged offence under Sections 48(a), 39(1a)(d), 50(b)(c) of The Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972. In this case, it is stated that A1 was died and A2 is attending the case regularly. The allegation in this case is that they have hunted a bird species. The occurrence happened in the year 2016. Considering the factual matrix, context of the case and considering the fact that A2 have no other previous case or subsequent case and this is the only case pending and that he is also willing to admit the charge and considering the fact that he is attending the case all along for the past eight years and considering the fact that he was arrested and was in custody for 16 days. Upon admission of pleading guilty, the accused is convicted and sentenced for imprisonment for the period already undergone.

Accordingly, the case in CC.No.187 of 2023 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate Court, Sirkali, Sirkali Taluk, Mayiladuthurai is ordered and this Suo Motu Transfer Case stand disposed of. 29.10.2025 ssa electronically alone. The Trial Court shall take note of the order and accordingly classify the case pending before them as allowed / dismissed / disposed of, etc, and while doing so, consider any applications such as disposal of properties, etc., and pass appropriate orders, as may be necessary. Further, the Court below is directed to dispatch the copy of this order to all concerned.
