Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.05.2025 and issue appropriate orders/direction to the 2nd and the 3rd respondents to regularize the Plot bearing Plot No.15 on its western side, Meenakshi 1st Cross Street, Lakshmi Amman Nagar, Erukkenchery, Chennai-600118 and comprised in S.No.72/4 (Part), measuring an extent of 600 sq.ft., situated in No.33, Erukkenchery Village, Fort Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai District, belonging to the petitioner in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.565, Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.

Mr.C.Jayaprakash, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. With consent, the main writ petition is taken up for final 2/7
disposal at the stage of admission.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 06.05.2025 and issue appropriate orders/direction to the 2nd and the 3rd respondents to regularize the Plot bearing Plot No.15 on its western side, Meenakshi 1st Cross Street, Lakshmi Amman Nagar, Erukkenchery, Chennai-600118 and comprised in S.No.72/4 (Part), measuring an extent of 600 sq.ft., situated in No.33, Erukkenchery Village, Fort Tondiarpet Taluk, Chennai District, belonging to the petitioner in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.565, Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008 within a stipulated time fixed by this Court.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the absolute owner of the aforesaid property. She submitted an application to the respondents to regularize the subject property, belonging to the petitioner in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.565, Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008. However, the petitioner's 3/7
application was not considered by the respondents till date, thus the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the 1st respondent would consider and pass orders on the petitioner's application within a time frame fixed by this Court, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also upon the submissions made, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 1st respondent to pass orders on the application filed by the petitioner dated 06.05.2025 on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and also affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to any of the interested parties within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
