ORDER

The civil revision petition is filed seeking a direction to Principal District and Sessions Court, Kancheepuram to dispose of the suit in OS.No.193 of 2024.

2. The petitioner herein, who is mother-in-law of the respondent, filed a suit for partition seeking her 1⁄2 share in the suit property. The suit was filed on 02.04.2024 and the first hearing was fixed and the same was taken up for hearing on 21.06.2024. The summons were served on the respondent/ defendant as early as 27.01.2025. For the past 10 months, the suit has been adjourned for filing of written statement without any substantial progress.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is aged about 78 years at the time of filing of the suit. Taking into consideration her advanced age, a necessary direction may be given for expeditious disposal of the suit. He submitted that the petitioner, aged about 78 years, filed a suit for partition claiming 1⁄2 share against her daughter-in-law in respect of estate of her deceased son.

4. The suit summons were served on the defendant as early as January 2025. The suit has been adjourned for the past 10 months for filing of written statement.

5. Taking into consideration the age of the petitioner, this Court is inclined to direct the Trial Court to dispose of the suit as expeditiously as possible.

6. With this direction, the civil revision petition stands disposed of. No costs.
